Thompson Resource Management Limited was founded in 2006 based in the North Thompson Valley and has evolved into a leading forestry consultant company. In 2011 we established an office in Enderby to provide client services in the Okanagan and Shuswap areas.
Our commitment to attracting and retaining skilled and capable Forest Professionals has provided a foundation of both knowledge and practicality required for meeting the demands of our trade. TRM has developed relationships with major Licencees, Government, Small Scale Salvage, Woodlot Licensees and First Nations Forest Licensees in several Forest Districts and Regions, which has provided invaluable depth and diversity for our company. These relationships have provided a long-term, stable employment base which has allowed TRM to endure the hardships of the recent global recession and the associated impacts on the BC Forest Industry and the people dependent upon it.
Many of the staff members, including the owner, have started and/or raised families in Clearwater. With a small hospital, medical clinic and a full complement of government agencies and organizations focusing on all aspects of early childhood health and development, our families have never felt our families have been deprived of any of the necessities. Kamloops is within easy driving distance located just over an hour to the South. It offers all the features of a metropolitan city including a Regional Airport, University, and all manner of recreation and cultural events.
Tree Farm License #18, immediately west of Clearwater, has many lakes accessible to fishermen and recreationalists. with many more fishing/recreational opportunities available for day or overnight use within two hours of driving, including the “Fishing Highway (24)”, only twenty minutes south. Day trips to Dutch Lake in the heart of town when the summer heat is upon us has provided all our families hours of fun.
Our Company was actively involved in the Municipal Fire Preparedness work in and around the community. From assessing the forest lands for fire hazard and risk, to prescribing the appropriate fuel management treatments, up to and including implementation of the prescriptions on the ground, we take great pride in being a part of our Community, and being part of programs such as these.
