ASSISTANT FIELD TECHNICIAN – Clearwater BC

Competent and motivated, the Assistant Field Technician is an entry level position, where you will be responsible for assisting our Professional Field Technicians with a variety of operational / reconnaissance & development field tasks, and Silviculture Surveying. Your knowledge, understanding and proven skills in the following areas will be instrumental for success:

* Experience and understanding of ground and cable harvesting systems and operational constraints

* Experience with timber cruising/timber valuation

* Good organizational and project management & project tracking skills

* Proficient with all technology – including Android, IOS, GPS, computers/networks and other ‘technology’

* Competence working alone and with the ability to complete field tasks from verbal and written direction

* Class 5 licence, and the ability to drive a truck, ATV, UTV or sled defensively and respectfully

Preference will be given to applicants who have, or are working towards a degree or diploma in Forestry or Natural

Resource Sciences, or who are working towards or have recently obtained their professional designation with the

Association of BC Forest Professionals (ATC, ATE, TFT, FIT, RFT, RPF).
