Todd Phillips - Thompson Resource ManagementWe moved to Clearwater from the Lower Mainland in early 2000, and quickly realized there would be far more to our lives in Clearwater than merely a job within the Forest Industry. We were immediately impressed with the tranquility, the friendliness, and the quality of small-town life here. We have proudly called Clearwater our home ever since.

Situated beneath the jagged silhouettes of the Trophy Mountains, Raft Mountain, and Clearwater and Dunn Peaks, at the confluence of the Clearwater River and the North Thompson River, and adjacent to Wells Gray Provincial Park, Clearwater offers `back-porch access` to some of the most beautiful locations and greatest outdoor recreation opportunities anywhere in the province. Whether you are a hiker or snowmobiler, hunter or photographer, kayaker or fisherman, Clearwater will exceed your expectations for outdoor adventure for all ages and skill levels.

Clearwater has a Skating/Hockey and Curling Arena Facility, with leagues to match the whole family`s needs and abilities. The Clearwater Ski Hill is one of only a handful in the province located within a municipality, and is renowned for hospitality and a focus on family fun. A five minute drive from down-town puts cross-country ski enthusiasts on well-maintained trails, with a variety of terrains for all levels of ability. The spring thaw converts the ski trails to mountain bike and hiking trails that provide snow-free family fun.

Spring and summer sees soccer and softball programs offering all levels and skills an opportunity to participate. Horse Club activities and Wells Gray Provincial Park interpretive events provide further recreation options available within our Community. Local Organizations such as Rotary, Elks, Lions, the RC Legion all contribute with weekly events, and in the summer, the Saturday Farmer’s Market showcases local artisans, craftsmen, and of course, amazingly fresh, local produce. The atmosphere is always welcoming and for many of us, it affords a chance to socialize, and compare the latest fishing stories with our neighbours while enjoying a locally made treat.

Thompson Resource Management both recognizes and supports numerous local charities, organizations and school events in both financial and professional capacities. In the past we have aided in the promotion of local theatre, High School Graduation Fundraising events, early childhood education programs such as Mother Goose, Success By Six, and the Yellow Head Community Services, Rotary and other fundraising events. Our company and staff are also supporters of the Clearwater & District food bank, the local non-profit ski hill, as well as other local groups such as Search & Rescue. We are proud to be able to give back into the community that offers us so much.
